This is a great review of The Opulent Project’s COSTUME COSTUME at SOFA NY. I’m so glad that someone has given this project the attention it deserves- there’s something really interesting going on here, and I’m excited to be involved!
River Arts’ 1st annual Fine Crafts Exhibition opens tomorrow evening (Friday, May 6) at Gallery II in Damariscotta, Maine. The exhibition was juried by craft writer Carl Little, and he selected two of my subtle, tone-on-tone enameled portraits from my series, Decorum: The Devil Is In The Details. Read his juror’s statement and learn more about River Arts here. Please join us at the opening if you‚Äôre in the area!

If you missed SOFA NY this year, check out these photos from the COSTUME COSTUME PHOTOBOOTH at SIENNA GALLERY! The photobooth was a great success… a fun way for visitors to loosen up, try on jewelry and interact with it. A big thank you to Erin Gardner and The Opulent Project for organizing this and including my work. Lots of familiar faces got in on the action… check it out here!
Curator Suzanne Ramljak requested my ‘Til Death Do Us Part knuckle duster to join her exhibition, Counterflux: Defensive Ornament at G Gibson Gallery in Seattle. The show will be held in conjunction with the SNAG Conference, with a reception on Friday, May 27th.

COSTUME COSTUME is a collection of work made by emerging contemporary art jewelers. It’s an exploration of costume jewelry as subject; jewelry about jewelry. I am one of the 20 jewelers, along with fellow Ten Artists – Ten Objects – 2010 artists Kristi Sword and Melissa Tolar. Check it out!

For any of you in the Boston area, check out the opening of “Nesting” at Michele Mercaldo Contemporary Jewelry Design (www.michelemercaldo.com) on Thursday, October 14th, 6-8PM.
I have a few rings in this show, along with a number of other jewelers who’ve made work on “nesting” theme. I can’t make the opening, but really wish I could!
